Vintage 1940's embossed copper large tazza depicting a Brueghel-style scene of two men shaking hands in a tavern. Did they just avoid a duel, reach an agreement or a truce? Agree to a contract? Or did they just meet each other? Their friends and witnesses surround them. Some have their hats off - perhaps a celebration? This wall plate / platter was made in Holland. It can be hung above a fire place, used as a home bar decor or man cave decor. It can also be leaned on a shelf that has a plate groove. Has small triangular hanging hook in back.
Size: 23" diameter x 2.75" depth.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Has patina. Good embossing quality (deep and succinct). Lightweight for size. Has a little divot where the hook is attached.
