Vintage 1930’s Handmade Friendship Crewel Sampler

This is a framed but no glass cross-stitch sampler with a "Friendship" theme. The sampler features a quote & various motifs, including two dogs, a bowl of flowers, & other floral designs.
The text on the sampler reads:
"FRIEND"
"Who Hath A Friend With Whom To Share Hath Double Cheer And Half Of Care"
Cross-stitch samplers are a traditional form of needlework, often created as a demonstration of skill and can include various decorative elements like alphabets, figures, and motifs name of maker is on the back. It’s approx 15 1/2” no rips or holes but it is dirty from age & hanging I would assume this was around smoke so use your judgment before you purchase if you are sensitive to smoke.
